ETCOTA - the concept.

04. Florida will be the High Tech capital.

Governor Bush has set as a fundamental goal “to promote the emergence of Florida as a high-tech capital for businesses and services related to the development of state-of-the-art telecommunications.

Our State is well on its way to doing just that. We already have a quarter of a million high-tech jobs in Florida; and, Florida already ranks 6th in the United States in Information Technology and Tele-communications employment.

However, as the technology sector grows, so grows the demand for a talented, trained and educated workforce.

The InternetCoast has predicted that there will be 10,000 new technology jobs created in South Florida each year.
